Khan Academy is an education nonprofit with a mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. Khan Academy offers a range of academic subjects—including math, sciences, and the humanities—to 18 million people a month in 36 languages.
Recently, Khan Academy expanded its early childhood offering with the launch of Khan Academy Kids, an education program for learners ages two to five designed to inspire lifelong learning. With thousands of original activities, books, lessons, and videos, Khan Academy Kids is aligned with Head Start Learning Outcomes Framework for preschool-aged children and Common Core Standards for kindergarten-aged students.
Khan Academy offers free test prep resources for all students. College-bound students who used Khan Academy’s Official SAT Practice for at least 20 hours gained on average 115 points from the PSAT to the SAT, nearly double the average gain of students who did not use Official SAT Practice. Score gains were consistent across gender, family income, race, ethnicity, and parental education level and were analyzed across approximately 250,000 students.
Overdeck Family Foundation is proud to support Khan Academy through general operating support.
