Kaushik Mohan is a Data Scientist on the Foundation’s Strategic Impact & Learning team. He is dedicated to helping leverage data to generate insights that inform the strategies of the foundation and its grantee partners.
Previously, Kaushik was at Two Sigma Data Clinic where he managed volunteer teams to provide data science and engineering support to mission-driven organizations, in addition to building open-source tools to make public data more accessible and insightful. Prior to this, he served as a Data Science for Social Good Research Fellow and worked at an early-stage social enterprise in India where he built a loyalty program for low-income communities that provided poverty-alleviating rewards.
Kaushik earned his B.Tech and M.Tech in Ocean Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and his M.S. in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research from New York University. In his spare time, Kaushik enjoys going on long bike rides and solving cryptic crossword puzzles.
