Katelyn Fletcher, Portfolio Associate, sources and supports organizations focused on enhancing learning in out-of-school settings. She collects and analyzes data from grantees and researchers to determine high-impact investment areas and aligned organizations that support the Inspired Minds portfolio’s goal of expanding access to engaging and challenging STEM learning experiences, and the Early Impact portfolio’s goal of increasing the likelihood that all children experience supportive early learning environments.
Before joining Overdeck Family Foundation, Katelyn designed, implemented, and evaluated educational programs in collaboration with schools, governments, and nonprofits. She served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Temple University, where she conducted empirical research on children’s STEM and literacy learning through play-based initiatives. She also consulted for the Brookings Institution Center for Universal Education, in addition to experiences collaborating with Robin Hood, Sesame Workshop, Acelero Learning, and Bright Horizons.
Katelyn holds a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from New York University, an M.Ed. in elementary education, and a B.A. in human development from Cornell University. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their dog, and enjoys leading yoga classes, traveling, and baking.
