A Flexible Model for Grantee Support
In addition to grantmaking, Overdeck Family Foundation provides grantees with capacity-building support to help them unlock innovation, evidence, and growth opportunities. These services, offered through a tiered approach of universal, selective, and intensive support, aim to accelerate organizations’ pathway to cost-effective, sustainable scale.
Since 2021, we have supported over 80 grantees through more than 200 unique capacity-building engagements, helping them more efficiently achieve school readiness, school success, and future-ready outcomes. As a result, participating grantees have experienced an average:
- 18% reduction in program cost
- 114% increase in earned revenue
- 125% increase in reach

Enable partners to test new ideas quickly and affordably. By trying things on a small scale—including new technologies like artificial intelligence—we help organizations learn what works, improve their programs, and better meet the evolving needs of the people they serve in a cost-effective and sustainable way.
Evidence Building
Assist organizations in understanding whether and how their programs are impacting student outcomes. This can include clarifying goals, collecting data, and using research and evaluation to guide decisions and strengthen impact for the people they serve over time.
Sustainable Growth
Support organizations to plan for long-term financial health. This includes sharpening understanding of cost drivers, diversifying revenue, and identifying growth pathways so programs can reach more students, teachers, and families in a longer-term, sustainable way.
