[Webinar] Professional Development: What Works, and What’s on the Horizon
Posted on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025

Professional development for educators has remained largely unchanged for decades, with the average district spending $7,700 per teacher annually. Yet, almost half of educators, 48 percent, say the PD they receive is irrelevant and not connected to their biggest needs.
This webinar, recorded on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, dives into what we know works to date, as well as unpacks innovation on the horizon that has the potential to make PD more relevant, timely, and beneficial for both educators and students. Hear from researchers and nonprofit leaders who are experimenting with and studying the role of generative artificial intelligence and other forms of innovation in improving PD, and gain a deeper understanding of the promise technology holds, as well as some best practices for implementation.
