Anthony Lucchino

Manager, Grant Effectiveness & Strategic Support

Starting my career as a teacher allowed me to see the impact high-quality learning environments can have on student achievement. Working in philanthropy gives me the opportunity to help support the growth of direct service organizations and build the enabling conditions to ensure all children have access to quality educational experiences that unlock their potential.

Anthony Lucchino, Manager, Grant Effectiveness & Strategic Support, supports organizational operations and strategy as part of the Foundation’s Portfolio Success team, dedicated to equipping grantees with the capacity-building supports they need to achieve cost-effective impact at scale.

Prior to joining Overdeck Family Foundation, Anthony was a Program Manager in Education Technology at Success Academy Charter Schools. In this role, he led strategic improvement efforts to the technology services provided to students and teachers. Anthony also acted as the Business Operations Manager, managing and consulting on multiple projects focused on developing growth strategies and building critical business cases and operational models to support scaling impact. Prior to Success Academy, he was a Senior Program Coordinator at Futures and Options, where he helped scale a professional development program for underserved high school students.

Anthony holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston College and served as a Fulbright Scholar, teaching and conducting research in Ruse, Bulgaria. He enjoys cooking, traveling, rooting for any Pittsburgh sports team, and exploring New York City with his corgi, Bean.
