School Readiness
Create strong foundations for early learning.
High-quality Pre-K is one of the most powerful levers for improving children’s early learning and long-term outcomes, with research showing benefits ranging from stronger early literacy and math skills to higher rates of high school graduation and college attendance. Yet access alone is not enough to ensure quality, and research suggests that content-specific curricula, targeting specific domains like math, literacy, or executive functioning, may be most effective for supporting high-quality learning experiences. We invest in studying and strengthening Pre-K curricula, especially domain-specific, research-aligned models that support the whole child, so that states and districts have the information they need to make evidence-based decisions for their early childhood investments.
