Together, they discuss the Foundation’s vision for investing in evidence-building and examine the current body of research on the potential of high-impact tutoring to support student achievement. Pete and Meghan also answer the critical questions school and district leaders need to understand as they consider what tutoring solutions will best support their students in the 2024-25 school year and beyond.
“There’s decades of evidence from experimental studies, descriptive studies, and quasi-experimental work showing that when kids get high-impact tutoring and they get the chance to learn with that kind of individualized approach, we see benefits and impacts on student achievement, particularly in math. There’s an opportunity at the Foundation to continue investing in organizations that are working to scale high-impact tutoring models across the country in innovative and cost-effective ways,” said Meghan.
