Yashna Jhaveri

Portfolio Associate, School Success

I see my role as a learner and connector—I get to see across our grantee partners, which allows me to more deeply understand their systems and the field at large, while also finding ways to amplify their efforts to improve outcomes for students and educators.

Yashna Jhaveri, Portfolio Associate, sources and supports organizations for the Foundation’s School Success portfolio. She collects and analyzes data from grantees and researchers to determine high-impact investment areas and aligned organizations that support the portfolio’s goal of increasing the number of kindergarten through eighth grade students demonstrating meaningful growth and proficiency in literacy and math.

Yashna has spent her academic and professional career seeking to understand and transform education systems in the U.S. and India. Previously, she worked on the Strategy and Impact team at Teach For India where she directed strategy planning, implemented monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and advised internal teams to strengthen learning and efficiency. Her experiences as a former middle school teacher and policy consultant for district and state departments also inform her work at the Foundation.

Yashna holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Wellesley College. Outside of work, Yashna enjoys exploring cities, playing board games, and cooking for family and friends.
