Create strong foundations for early learning.

Portfolio Associate, Future Readiness
My background in developmental science taught me to ask what children need to thrive and how to evaluate the evidence. My work in philanthropy lets me put evidence into action by finding and supporting approaches to reach children at scale.
Katelyn Fletcher, Portfolio Associate, sources and supports organizations for the Foundation’s Future Readiness portfolio. She collects and analyzes data from grantees and researchers to determine high-impact investment areas and aligned organizations that support the portfolio’s goal of helping students develop the cognitive skills, meaningful connections, and sense of agency needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Before joining Overdeck Family Foundation, Katelyn designed, implemented, and evaluated educational programs in collaboration with schools, governments, and nonprofits. She served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Temple University, where she conducted empirical research on children’s STEM and literacy learning through play-based initiatives. She also consulted for the Brookings Institution Center for Universal Education, in addition to experiences collaborating with Robin Hood, Sesame Workshop, Acelero Learning, and Bright Horizons.
Katelyn holds a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from New York University, an M.Ed. in elementary education, and a B.A. in human development from Cornell University. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their dog, and enjoys leading yoga classes, traveling, and baking.
