Project Description
This study advances the final phase of the Kidsights project, a population-level measure of child development for children from birth through age six, designed to support policy and practice decisions. Building on earlier phases that developed and validated the measure, this phase focuses on scaling adoption, strengthening implementation supports, and increasing demand for population-level developmental data. The study includes continued data collection in Nebraska and expansion to additional states and communities, along with efforts to develop communication strategies, implementation guidance, and partnerships that support effective use of the tool. The project also explores alignment with related national measures and examines how population-level data can inform investments, identify disparities, and guide early childhood systems toward improved outcomes.
Research Questions
- What strategies are most effective for increasing adoption and use of a population-level measure of child development across states and communities?
- How can population-level child development data be communicated and used to inform policy and practice decisions?
