Laurie Sztejnberg is the Director of Research for the foundation and Senior Program Officer for the Exceptional Educators portfolio, which aims to increase the retention of effective educators in K-9. Laurie has spent nearly twenty years in the field of education—doing both research and direct service.
Most recently, Laurie worked at TNTP (The New Teacher Project) where she served as a director working directly with school districts. Prior to that, Laurie worked at Success Academy Charter Schools, as an Education Specialist with McKinsey and Company, and as a Research Associate at MDRC.
Laurie holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service and a B.S. in Chemistry from Duke University. Laurie enjoys spending time with her friends, poorly-trained dog Bartlett, and loved ones in Brooklyn and beyond.
